Songs not playing on Samsung S23

Songs not playing on Samsung S23

So I woke up today and Spotify won't play any songs, it plays my podcasts fine (they are not downloaded) but no music will play, regardless of whether it is downloaded or not.

 

When I try to play a song from a playlist the green play button turns to a pause button as it should, but I get no sound and the player bar at the bottom of the screen doesn't appear.

 

I have tried the reset instructions I have found online and nothing seems to work.

 

I have tested Spotify on my smart TV and my PS5, songs work and I can use the phone as a remote, but as soon as I try to play natively from my phone it takes a while to disconnect from the TV/PS5, when it finally does it still won't play the song through my phone.

 

Is anyone else having these problems or have an updated set of instructions that might help?

 

Android version - 14

 

One UI version - 6.0

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Same issue with my S23.

When you log back into Spotify are you using the password saved by Samsung "one touch login" or are you entering your details? My partners wouldn't work when using one touch login. When manually logging in it worked without a problem.
