Songs pausing since Lollipop update

Solved!

Songs pausing since Lollipop update

The solution for songs pausing, stuttering etc since the Android Lollipop upgrade on the forum has been to disable Nuplayer in Android in developer mode but unfortunately this hasn't worked for me. I'm on a slow broadband connection in a rural area so solutions that include "wipe everything and start again" aren't very useful and don't really address the root cause. The application that I'm paying a premium subscription for isn't working. Can anyone help?

Honestly, I've never occured this issue and have been up to date on the latest releases of Lollipop on a Google Nexus phone. Perhaps it's your phone? Have you tried going to the App Info, clear the Cache and Storage for Spotify? I did once have an issue where the app would not play, and it turned out that I didn't have sufficient space for the songs to download. Sometimes even if you clear the Cache and Storage for the app, and then reinstall it... that makes a good difference.

I understand your reluctance to perform a clean install however this is usually the best way to get the app working again. I am also in a rural area on adsl, so when I have to do this I just do it at night and leave it downloading during the night.
