Songs skipped for no reason, no skips left

Songs skipped for no reason, no skips left

I was listening to a song and i watched my screen as spotify started just skipping through songs until it ran out of skips. Now I can't skip until i get more.

Thank for reaching Spotify Community.

I'm very sorry for that inconvenient. As a Free account, user, inevitably, you will run out of skips. 

My simple advice, why don't you try purchasing Premium account, in that way you will no long have problems of skipping. You can even download it and play it whereever, whenever you like even without internet connection.

YahTehgz You dident answer his question at all... Spotify is a mess on alot of android devices these days.. I have tons of issues on my s9+ with music auto pausing, not beeing able to skip songs etc..

His issue was that the app is suddenly autoskipping alot of songs, burning trough the available skip quota on the free subscription plan.

Suggesting that he should buy a premium subscribtion is just plain rude.... Having the free tier subscription is just as legit as beeing a paying subscriber, it's part of the service.
Would downvote if i could.

I'd just like to confirm, do you have any devices connected via Spotify Connect or a device that had media buttons connected to your device?

 

Just as a way to get some more information, can you advise me on:

  • Android Version
  • Spotify Version
  • Did the issue start after a recent update?
  • What devices (if any) are connected to your device when this happens (headphones, speakers, other spotify devices, etc...)

Once we have some more details, I'll try and find a solution for you all! 🙂
