Songs skipping forward when my phone is in my pocket (HTC One M8)

So when I put a playlist on and put the phone in my pocket (screen is turned off) it sometimes randomly skips forward a song. Is there some kind of shortcut or gesture I'm accidentaly doing to skip songs that I don't know about? I can't get it to change songs like that if i purposely try to.

This seems very common for HTC's, if you have a search in this forum it's cropped up a few times with the same device being the culpret each time. I think it must be something to do with the aux jack... try cleaning it out and making sure there's nothing in there creating a false connection. You may find you have to revert to a headset without the control buttons so as to stop this behaviour.
