Hello Spotify Support Team,
I've recently noticed that Spotify no longer supports split-screen mode on my Android device (Zenfone 11 Ultra, Android 14). This feature was working before, but now it seems to be disabled.
I often use split-screen to multitask while listening to music, and this change has made the experience less convenient. Could you please confirm whether this was an intentional removal or a bug? Also, is there any plan to restore split-screen support in a future update?

Can you let us know what steps you were using to open Spotify in split-screen mode so far? I'd suggest trying the following if you haven't already:
If the above doesn't help, you can also try enabling split screen in your device's developer options.

Hello, I am Using iQOO Z3 5G and i have been facing the same problem as well since an update. I have tried every way but it doesn't open in split screen mode..
Same thing happens to me, I'm using a Nubia Z60 Ultra with Android 14 and Spotify version 9.0.16.572. When I go to the multitasking page, the split screen button is missing, and when I try to swipe with three fingers (the default gesture on my phone to start split screen mode) it shows a toast notification saying that the feature is not available.

If this started happening after an OS update and the suggestions in this thread don't make a difference, I'd recommend reaching out to Android Support for more information and help.

Quick post to add another voice to this "complaint".
i have the same problem but my concern are the floating window feature. if i try using it the app would go to full screen mode and if i want to try it again i cant because the option is gone. the bug happened after i updated the app so please fix it. i've tried it on other app and the feature works, so this problem is from ur app
another user for who this problem recently occured: I have disabled and enabled the "force split screen" feature in the system developer options multiple times with a restart every time, re-installed the app... none of it has worked.
it's also strange that this is apparently overriding the "force split screen" option which shouldn't be possible?
Same for me and I have an old Galaxy S9+. Never, ever had an issue with Spotify til now. I used split screen often with Spotify. Now it's not an option. Obviously I don't get OS software updates anymore but I'd appreciate the split screen option back. It helps so much.
Update: For me, this issue has actually been quietly resolved and had only occured for ca. 1-3 months between January 2025 and April 2025. Unfortunately I didn't keep track of updates and stuff, so I'm not sure if it was an Android update or a Spotify update.
