Spotfy does NOT work using WIFI

Spotfy does NOT work using WIFI

Brief description of the issue:

I'm using spotify app (version: 5.9.0.774) on a Samsung Galaxy J5 with Android version 6.0.1 but it only works with the 3G/4G band connection. If I turn wifi ON, app does not receive data and does not work.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. First I did this:
Open the spotify app while connected to the local wifi network, the app opens normally but keep the "green loading circle" at the screen and the following error shows up after a while: "Sorry, something went wrong" / "botton of the screen: No internet connection available" and finally the last error "You are off-line" .  Please note that all other apps works normally in the same WIFI.

What steps you’ve tried already:

I tried the Full reinstallation/Clean stored data and remove app from device.

Reinstall the app and restart the mobile device.

Notes:
I have 3 other mates that are working in the same office, they also have android devices and they are also using spotify in the same WIFI network. They can use it normally without any issues.

I am also able to use it normally when I disable the wifi and use the mobile 4G internet connection.

Hey @guizabueno,

You could try to connect using a different Wifi network, just to see if it's a local issue or a network one.

You should fill out the contact form, and someone from Spotify will be happy to help you within 24 hrs. Don't forget to check your spam folder for responses as they may end up there.

If you get an automated email directing you to the community or help pages, you need to reply directly to support@spotify.com and one of the customer services agents will get back to you.
