Spotify Android Random Playback and Notification Bar Problems

Lately, whenever I pause my music, wait a while, and watch a video, my music will decide to resume playback again after pausing said video. I have the latest version of the app and Android. 

Also, my controller in my notification bar sometimes either doesn't work or shows the wrong song title/artwork. This has been going on for the past two weeks and I've tried everything I could think of short of factory resetting my phone to try to fix it .I've even redownloaded the app twice.

Has anyone else had/fixed either of these? If so, what worked for you?
