Spotify Connect - Pausing & Sputtering Randomly on Samsung Multiroom R3

Spotify Connect - Pausing & Sputtering Randomly on Samsung Multiroom R3

Hi guys. I need some help with a Spotify Connect issue.

I have a Samsung WAM3500 (Radiant R3) Multiroom Speaker that supports Spotify Connect. It works perfectly when streaming from the Windows 10 Spotify app to the speaker. However, when trying to stream form the Android Spotify app to the speaker it initially connects but the songs automatically pause and Spotify Connect disconnects after a couple of minutes and occasionally sputters while playing.

Streaming form the Android app to Chromecast and Alexa works without a problem on the same network. All power saving on the Android device is disabled and backroad data / WiFi connection is enabled. This seems to point to a glitch in the Spotify Connect connection between the Samsung R3 and Spotify Android app.

Please advise on possible solutions to the above.

Enabling UPnP on the router seems to have resolved the issue. Interestingly, double NAT still exists but just hanving UPnP enabled on the inner router alone makes it work flawlessly.
