Spotify Not Entering Car Mode when Connected to Echo Auto 2

My Question or Issue

I recently bought the Echo Auto 2 so that I can play music in my car via bluetooth. The first thing that i noticed is that Spotify won't turn on Car Mode automatically (which I do have it set to do) when my phone connects to the device. I had the original Echo Auto before and never had this issue. Other apps do switch to car mode when my phone connects to the Echo Auto 2, just not Spotify. 

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Spotify app and clearing the cache and neither has resolved the issue.

Mine is the same. I assumed it was an apple issue in my case. Workaround to date is leave the Alexa auto unplugged until I use it, which allows Spotify car mode to be enabled as usual.
