Spotify Premium slow and constantly loading...

I've been meaning to troubleshoot this for some time now and finally have had enough of it. It seems like that Spotify Premium has become pretty unbearable at times when trying to do simple things like play an album or view an album. When I click on the album I get a loading icon that can last anywhere from 10 seconds to over a minute or more. Sometimes it never resolves and I close the application and go back into it.

It didn't used to be this way, and seems like the updates in the last year or so have really degraded the quality of the application. Has anyone else had these experiences?

I'm using a Galaxy Note 9 on T-mobile, and am often on Google Fiber Internet so I generally don't see any slowness in either my phone or my connection speed in any application except for Spotify.
