Spotify Premiums still getting ads?

Spotify Premiums still getting ads?

Plan

Premium

Device

Samsung A71

My Question or Issue

I have a Spotify Premium account, but Spotify is still playing ads in between music. I understand that there are ads for podcasts, but this is in Spotify Music. Any way how to fix it? I just recently renewed my subscription. It's troublesome that there are still ads popping up in my devices.

Hey @artemxyzz

Try logging into your Spotify profile on your browser here with your email. Your username will be displayed after you login.

After that, check the status of your subscription. If everything looks ok, logout of the app in your device, and be sure to use that username, instead of your email address, to login to your account. It's the one with the Premium features.

Hope it helps. 🙂

The thing is, I can still use the Premium features like checking my queue and etc. The only problem is with the ads. I just tried your solution and it's still the same, but thank you for the suggestion though. I appreciate it.

Hey @artemxyzz

Thanks for getting back to us. Let's take a look at this together shall we.

If your subscription is active and displayed when checking your account overview page then this might be connected to the device being used. If possible could you test on a another device, borrow a friends or family members phone and test out with your account logged in to see if the same will happen there.

Also its worth deleting your cached files and logging in and out of your profile 2 times one after another, that will force  sync between the app and our servers.

Keep us posted on how it goes!

Hi, so it still happened. Like in my phone, I can use it very well without ads yet I just renewed subscription again and the ads still happen in my samsung tablet. I logged out both of them one after another and logged in but nothing changes. Also, in my tablet, it says free account although I made sure it is the same account as the one in my phone.

Hey there @artemxyzz

Thanks for your reply.

Could you let us know if you're still hearing ads on your mobile device or if this just happens on your tablet? We'd also like to know which type of Premium you're using, since some subscriptions such as Premium mini offers a mobile-only experience which means it'd work only on your phone.

We'll be on the lookout.

Hi, sorry for replying late. So the problem only happens in my tablet. Spotify premium works fine on my phone, no ads and all. Both of them use the same account. I made sure to log in using the same way. But the problem is there are still ads appearing in my tablet although I can use other Premium features just fine in my tablet. It's the ads. Can Spotify please fix this soon?

There used to be no ads too on my tablet. I've been using Mini since ages. Suddenly ads just appeared. Although, if it is as you say because I use Premium Mini, I might accept it, but if there's a way to fix this, please do.

Hey @artemxyzz,

Thank you for keeping in contact.

Since Premium mini is currently available for mobile (and small tablets) use only, it's expected that the app on your tablet may show ads if it's bigger than 7 inches, as mentioned in the Questions section of this article.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
