Track available on pc but not on phone

I have downloaded a track using my PC. I can play it on my PC but on my phone I just get a message saying that 'Spotify can't play this right now'. Any ideas how to resolve this?

If you've downloaded a track in MP3, AAC, FLAC or other audio format, you can include it in your Spotify app as a local file by following the process mentioned in this article. Since the process varies between devices, we'd recommend following the steps for your specific device to make sure you're adding the track properly.

Keep in mind that the audio file must be downloaded from official sites and it must be stored on your phone as well so the app can locate it and play it.

If the issue still persists after this, include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue helping you further.
