My Question or Issue
Since 2 weeks I can't open Spotify anymore, it will pop open and show a black screen then just minimise.
I'm logged in via Facebook, and i've tried the following steps without any success:
Restart Phone,
Cleared cache of Spotify,
Reinstalled Spotify (this worked until i selected FB login)
Can you please fix this issue, since I am a paying customer but now I cant use the service on my phone which is very annoying.
If you need any info please let me know!

Hey Mattty94,
This has been a common problem since the Android updates. Not exactly Spotify's fault, but Android 14 is a train wreck.
Here's what you can try and see what happens; nothing lost, nothing gained, right?
Delete your Cache/Cookies of the app, then uninstall/reinstall the latest version of Spotify.
Make sure Play Protect is off in the Google app store just in case its blocking it on your phone.
If you're rooted Make sure Magisk or whomever you rooted with accepts settings accept Spotify as a superuser.
Try and log into your spotify through the mobile browser to establish your IP.
If that doesn't work go ahead and try to find Spotify 8.8.66.563. That version will work. In the event that does not work your phone/IP in all likelihood may have erroneously been flagged as a bot and the app itself could be blocking you out.
Hope this helps. If it does check us out as a thanks. (https://open.spotify.com/artist/0GzbnWmP51fjcbqmMEt30F?si=hRv4i57dTrqNRmu-IYrkKw)

Thanks for your reply I tried everything you said, and it's now working again!
The version of spotify is downgraded to 8.8.96.364, also got a popup android 14 optimalisation. So I guess it indeed had to do with android 14 update and spotify not being compatible anymore.
Anyway it's working again Thanks! will checkout your list!
Mistakenly updated my phone to Android 14. It's been a total nightmare. Even the previously mentioned 8.8.66.563 version of Spotify is no good. Can anyone get this fixed?
I have tried everything on this post and I've tried even more and I've even had Verizon look at IT and well Spotify does not work with the new s24 Ultra, you can play music you have downloaded but the AI DJ does not work anymore which really sucks because that's what I relied on at my work as I have a monotonous job and without my music it is not that fun. Spotify please fix**bleep** ASAP! I have since downloaded YouTube music premium but I don't like the fact that it does not have an Ai DJ
Hey @mikebiker5,
Thank you for joining the conversation.
Just to make sure we're on the same page, is the app working fine but just the DJ feature is not working? Also, since you mentioned you've tried some extra troubleshooting, would you mind confirming the steps you've already followed? This is to avoid repeating processes that you may have already tried.
Lastly, include in your next response the OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
We'll be on the lookout.
