My Question or Issue

I've been a premium user for a couple years now, and I've really loved the app. However, recently the app has been instantly crashing every time I open it. It doesn't even load the full app, just a black screen for a couple seconds and then I'll get the message "Spotify keeps Stopping." I've already tried clearing my data/cache, and I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times.

Since I'm paying for premium, I tried using the web player instead. I cannot find an option to sign in however, just the usual "new music" and "genre/moods" sections. I switched to the desktop version instead, but it instantly redirects to the Spotify home page every time. I'm sorry that I sound rude, this has just been incredibly frustrating.

Hi, I believe I am having the same problem. not sure what I need to do to fix it.

Same here.  Worked 3 days ago.

Same issue on my phone. Don't recall taking a recent update so maybe they're having issues server side. If so, pretty terrible design to crash the app if they don't get a connection.

Replying to my own post, but **bleep** it's constant. Spotify has some **bleep** building an app that constantly tries to launch itself in the background.

Tommanical, do you happen to be using the new macOS beta?

Yep same exact problem right after the last update

_Dammit_ Nope, just the normal android version.

Same here, twice. Rebooting didn't worked first time so I tried reinstalling the app. Works again but had lost some local music files, had to restore it. Three days later (today) it happened again, tried rebooting again to no avail. Really frustrating to deal with this.

Some details:

Premium user. OnePlus 5T. Android version 8.1.0.
