Spotify app can't make transition from wifi to mobile internet

Recently my app has had trouble smoothly transitioning from wifi to the (Android) phone's internet. The track stops playing almost as soon as the wifi connection is lost and needs a few tries before it starts playing again. It refuses to go back to playing the same song though. I've tried removing the app altogether as well as clearing its data, but to no avail. It used to have no trouble with this, even playing an entire second song long after the wifi connection was lost even if my mobile internet wasn't on; now it doesn't finish the song when it is on. Can anyone help me?

I emailed Spotify with this as well, but got an automatic reply effectively saying 'find another way to solve this, because we're not going to get a human to read your email'.

I see you said you tried an uninstall as well as clearing the app data. Can you do this again and try following the guide linked below; the guide details the steps to take to ensure a full 'clean installation' is achieved - This includes checking redundant folders and a REBOOT!
