Spotify app for Samsung Gear Fit 2

Solved!

Spotify app for Samsung Gear Fit 2

The Samsung Gear Fit 2 was released 2 weeks ago. All reviews said/showed that it would contain a native spotify app. I´m trying to find that app - but no luck!

Can it be that Spotify only releases it into the US samsung Galaxy apps store? I live in Europe and that might explain it. I wodner if anyone can confirm that this is the case!?

That is fantastic news! Thank you for sharing it :)))

I'd love to know how you install Spotify on you gear fit 2. I'm from Germany as well and there's no app available and I can't find something like an app with version 0.2.0.
Thank you

I'd like to know that too. There's no app in the app store.

In approximately two hours the tutorial will be uploaded 🙂

Sorry for the delay, had some failed conversion attempts, so it took some more time.

Thanks a lot for the great tutorial! However It's a shame there's still no offline support. Since Spotify have said it's coming I'll wait for that until I install the app. I can use Spotify already to control the music on my phone (or device playing) even though it's not the stand alone app.

Thanks for the tutorial!  Worked for me (in Canada).

Not working for Indonesia! The VPN app doesn't work.

Im from Argentina, I have Spotify Premium.

The solution doesn't work, and in the store, Spotify doesn't appear.

I hope Spotify or Samsung fix that.

Hi, thank you Wiidesire for sharing the workaround.

It really works BUT you HAVE to remove the SIM card.

Austria

Hi.

I removed it.

I follow the video step by step. But, first, I can't change the Region, so I'cant see the Spotify app in Gear->Essential

Is like having an Iphone, depends where you are, you can or can not, download some app or books.

I'm looking in the Spotify forums, but I find nothing.

Thanks anyway.

I have a Samunsg S7 Edge. The video shows a S6 (?)

Hi,

I followed exactly the steps described:

1. Get the Hola Free VPN Proxy and install.

2. Remove sim card and connect over Wi-Fi

3. (Extra step) Run once Smart Manager -> Clean all

4. Clear Galaxy Apps data

5. Start the Hola proxy and from the Hola proxy launch Galaxy apps

6. Check the status bar (was saying that something form Hola is turned off and if I want to turn it on.. don't remember what it was)

7. Start Galaxy Apps FROM HOLA go in the gear -> essentials. And there it was

Hi.

I followed the steps, but Spotify doesn't appear.

Hi,

I tried all the steps and it worked! Thanx to the guy who discovered this it was a big help. Try it people!

Btw I live in sweden.

I just received my gear fit 2 and I have spotify downloaded on both the watch and my phone now however whenever I try to play spotify from the watch sound only comes from my phone. The standard music application works with my headphones (beats solo 2) but for some reason spotify only plays from my phone. I already tried uninstalling/ reinstalling, how do I fix this?

Hi.

How do you downloaded Spotify in your Gear ?

I cant do that. I tried everything.
