My Question or Issue

I’m encountering a weird user experience when using Spotify connect

  • I am using a hearing aid that is bluetooth connected to my phone
  • I start a song on Spotify on my phone, then send it to my Sonos to play. All good.
  • I often leave the room, and thus my bluetooth connection would be interrupted. This is not the issue, the song will keep playing on my Sonos
  • But when I came back to my room, and my hearing aids got connected again, Spotify will then switch back to my hearing aid, and thus the song will stop playing on my Sonos.

Not sure if this is a Spotify issue or Sonos issue?

Hey there @yonan32

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community 🙂

Could you let us know if you have multiple speakers? If so, does this happen with all of them? If it happens with all of them, sending us their the exact make and model would come in handy.

On another note, we'd like to know if the Spotify app is open on your phone when this happens. If yes, would it make any difference if you close it?

We'll be waiting for your reply.

Hi Eni

I do have multiple speakers in other rooms but have not tried to replicate the issue with the other speakers.

The Spotify app is closed, as the phone is mostly in locked mode at my desk when I left the room.

Hey @yonan32,

Thanks for the reply.

Could you try with the other speakers as well? We'd need to narrow down on the reasons for this behavior and find out if it is related to the speakers or the app itself.

Keep us posted on the results.

Cheers!
