Solved! Go to Solution.
Ok, I'll give it a try but tomorrow.
I have a Fritzbox 7360 connected to DSL. Receiver is directly connected to this box. I have another Fritzbox (7270) for wlan and dect repeating. Smartphone and tablet usually connect to this repeater. I will try to connect all devices to the same box. If this works I have to redesign my network at home but this is not really a problem.
Same here with "im Netzwerk verfügbar" (I live in germany :-)). The two days before the receiver appeared without this.
I'll tell tomorrow.
Hi there,
Welcome at the Spotify Community!
You have a really nice name 🙂
Have you made some changes like sound settings, update of the app, or updated your receiver (is that even possible)?
Or something else that maybe can be the cause?
Have you already to tried to logout and login afterwards? Sometimes something simple as this already fixes the problem.
Hi, since today i am facing the same issue with my pioneer vsxS510.
this is awfull. I updated all software in the meantime. Streaming from tablet to Android phone is working.
help!
Hi Michael!
Isn't it ?-)
Thx for your fast reply!
Meanwhile i tried the following:
Another network update of the receiver - no new software version was found...
Delete of cache and app data in Spotify app - didn't fix the problem after relogin...
Reset of network switches (receiver is attached via lan cable smartphone via WLAN) - didn't solve the problem...
If i could get more information because the app isn't able to connect, i could solve the problem ... 😞
Again it worked fine for two days ... !-/
Greetings
Michael
Update: Even a complete new installation of the app didn't solve the problem
i am having the same problem.
I have a pioneer X-SMC55 for several months.
No problems for several months, but i cannot use spotify connect anymore.
several seconds a blinking speaker icon, but nothing happens.
Same problem here with Yamaha R-N500. It worked really fine for 2 days, since yesterday receiver is in the connect list but cannot connect.
First this happened on my asus memopad but galaxy s3 worked fine for 2 more hours. After 2 hours galaxy s3 showed the same problem.
Tried everything possible
- reinstall app on two devices, delete data, delete cache
- updated everything
- restarted resetted routers (fritzbox 7360 and fritzbox 7270)
- changed network settings to fixed ip etc.
Any other feature in receiver works really fine.
Nothing changed.
I really need help.
So this will give me some hope for my working day 🙂
I'll try it this evening and come back here.
Ah I forgot to mention it.
This morning I pressed play on yamaha remote with spotify selected and it played the last song I listenend to on my tablet.
It didn't show a connection too.
Strange.
Michael, what brand/model of router/switch do you use?
Hi xsaly!
My RX-V575 receiver ist connected via a TP-LINK gigabit switch (TL-SG1008D) to a router with internet gateway. The router is an Alice IAD WLAN 3232. WLAN and DHCP-Service (no fixed IPs) is managed by this router and my smartphone uses WLAN to access LAN.
So it´s a very simple installation and (after receiver update) it worked fine for two days. After that i got no stable connection between smartphone and receiver till this morning (lasting 20 minutes ... 😞
Your issue is quite similar!!! So hopefully we get it fixed with collective knowledge ...
Greetings
Michael
Hi there!
Next try:
Also my desktop pc is connected to LAN via cable and switch ... in the same way as the Yamaha RV-X575 receiver. After installation of spotify on desktop i´am able to connect the smartphone to desktop via spotify app. Connect works fine: Using the smartphone i can initiate streaming on desktop pc. Streaming on receiver doesn´t work at the same time and with an identical network configuration.
There is also a different apperance of desktop and receiver in spotify app: The name of the receiver is followed by the appendix "Im Netzwerk verfügbar" (translated: available in network) while the desktop has no appendix!
=> It´s not an network issue. For me it seems to be a problem with receiver software. Perhaps there is no proper handshaking between receiver software ans spotify app.
Greetings
Michael

Had a few minutes to try. Disconnecting the repeating fritzbox fixed it. Startet the box afterwards and it's still working fine.
Will try to connect them to the same box to avoid such problems in future.
I know it's an old topic but just wanna spread the word about my "solution".
My Spotify connect was working very strangely: I could connect to my AV receiver (Denon) and start music but if I opened Spotify app on my Android phone (on both of them) the connection dropped and the music stopped. I could start it again on my phone but had to attempt the reconnection to the receiver a couple times before it worked again. So it was frustrating already. But yesterday there was a firmware update on the receiver and after that it did not even show up in the app on the phone. Unplugged it from power and plugged it back - after a couple minutes it appeared on both my and my girlfriend's phone in the app. But only she was able to connect, I couldn't. (Even on my Windows PC I couldn't see the device as available). As soon as I attempted, the music she played stopped but my music didn't start at all. So it was VERY strange. And could not think of a solution as it seemed like an account related issue. So what I've tried is logged out on my devices and logged in with her account on my phone. Guess what? It worked flawlessly. So I have logged out and logged back with mine. After that it showed up on the PC and could connect to it! Checked my phone and it was working with that either.
I can imagine that Spotify support would have made me create a new account three times already - not to mention resetting everything to factory defaults... 😄
Hope this helps others 🙂
