Hi everyone, Don't know if others are having this issue.
I got a new Android phone, LG G4, and for some reason whenever I'm playing Spotify either in the background or in the app, it continues to play after I remove the earphones from my phone. Never had an issue with any previous Android phones or even on my computer. I know it's not the G4 issue since other apps stop playing automatically just fine.
Anyone else having this issue with Spotify? Wondering if it's just a bug and it's just a quick update fix.
Thanks!

Finally it is! I've been using it for the last two days and playback stops every time my headphones are unplugged. Lockscreen widget seems to be working as well. Update to the latest version 6.9.0.1212 is now available in Play store.
What device and android version are you using @Itsmarwuh? If you're running android 6+, make sure that spotify app permissions include contacts, storage and phone.
I have the opposite problem. I need Spotify to continue playing on my phone if the Bluetooth disconnects, so that when the Bluetooth reconnects it will still be playing. Could there be a toggle setting for auto-pausing please? Or, perhaps a setting to resume playback if reconnected to Bluetooth within 10 seconds?
For example, say I'm driving a manual car. If it stalls on a hill, the power to the Bluetooth is interrupted and payback stops. I don't have time to resume the playback after restarting the car. This is inconvenient when driving alone. (Yes, not stalling is the easy fix, but it's just an example for the wider application.)
I'm having a problem of it stopping all the time when I'm moving. Not sure if there is a slight issue with the earplug but I just don't want it to keep stopping it is ANNOYING.
Either it's that or they don't get the concept of a screen being locked.
But as usual, it's something that could be made an option but no they won't.
