Spotify crashing my phone

I recently subscribed to spotify premium. The day i subscribed ive had an issue with at random times my music player will not make any sound, even though it shows the songs still playing, and then a couple minutes after my phone will shut down by itself. This happens easily at least 4 times a day which is pretty inconvenient because the app is really good. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it??!?!?!

I forgot to add that i have a Samsung galaxy s4

This is kind of old now, but I'm having the exact same problem, on the exacty same phone. Any resolution? I just reinstalled. Didn't help.

Back then i had a samsng s4, and i eventually just put up with the issue, but after about 3-4 weeks it never happened to me again. I dont know, it was weird, a lot of other people i spoke to did not have this issue with the same phone. so just gotta push through it i guess
