Spotify does not see Chromecast Audio despite having a Premium account

Subject says it all. I also have a Nexus Player which has video Chromecast support and Spotify will see and cast to it just fine. The discussion on this Google discussion I started says that for some reason the Spotify app might see me as having a free account somewhere in the system.

Other notables.: Chromecast has the latest firmware as of last night. Spotify app on my Android phone has the latest app update. Both the Chromecast and the phone are on the same Wi-Fi network. I live in the USA. Proof of my premium membership is attached.

What device are you trying to cast from?

Android phone. OnePlus 3T. Casting workings fine with every other casting enabled app on the phone, and as I said I can cast to my Nexus Player (which acts as a video Chromecast).

This issue was suppsedly fixed in the latest spotify version. If your spotify is up to date, try reinstalling following the steps here.

I uninstalled and reinstalled via Google Play, and as soon as I logged in and started playing it asked if I wanted to cast to the Chromecast Audio versus the Nexus Player. Thanks.
