Spotify for Android Auto - Not Playing Liked Songs on Artist Page

My Question or Issue

I have been having an issue with Spotify when using the app via Android Auto in my car.

Previously, if i went onto an Artist Page and clicked "Liked Songs" it would play the first song from the first album listed and then each song in order thereafter. However, when clicking "Liked Songs" on ANY artist page, it no longer plays the music. If i select a song from the "Popular" section, it will play and also when clicking "Shuffle Play" it will play. But i also prefer the "Liked Songs" option.

For instance, if I am listening to an artist, on the screen showing what is playing it will have the shuffle, rewind, pause/play, forward buttons. And if I go back to select a different artist, it will then display a small green circle which if pressed will take me back to what is "now playing". And when I am going onto a different artist page, I press "Liked Songs" which should start playing that artists music in order, however it just goes back to what is "Now Playing" and does not change artist or song.

Also, check if the same thing happens when using a different account.

I'm having the same issue also, started after the last OS update for my phone. S22 Ultra. 

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Spotify, force restarting the cars media system, etc and nothing seems to make a difference.

• Is it only liked songs on an Artist page that don't play or other content as well

It is "Liked songs" not working for ANY artist page that I follow. If I select "Shuffle Play" it will play but if I click "Liked Songs" it does nothing, as shown in the video clip. Previously, I could click "Liked Songs

• It only affects the Artists page. If there's no music playing, the screen displays "Getting Your Selection". If music is playing, then the new Liked Songs selection does not play and Spotify continues playing the previous track as outlined by Unsainted333 above.

It only affects the artists page for me. Playlists and albums all still work, as does shuffle play, but not the liked songs button, as shown in the video.

I can't play liked songs under the artist tab on Android Auto. I click on light songs and it just keeps playing the current song on the car screen.

Issue seems to be resolved. Now If they could only fix ...not being able to pick an artist past the letter P, in Android Auto. I have a lot of liked Artist that begin with the letter Q through Z but they're grayed out. It's been like this for over 2 years.

As @DPL1 already noticed, this should now be fixed. Just make sure you're running the latest version of the app.

Hi,

This issue with 'liked songs' has now been resolved, thankfully. However, the issue with only have a certain amount of artists available to search that you 'follow' has been an issue since launch.

Currently, due to the amount of artists I follow, I can only search up to the middle of the 'S' section on the A-Z list on Android Auto.
