Spotify has the worst user experience in history

Spotify has the worst user experience in history

Been a Spotify Premium user for about 4 years now. Initially it was great, but their software is absolute garbage now. My phone, PC, and Alexa are all less than two years old, kept up to date and regularly restarted. Apps have been reinstalled multiple times, devices restarted, accounts unlinked, etc. with no improvement.

On my Android: Randomly double skips, skips backwards, double registers other button clicks. Suddenly stops playing halfway through songs. Other songs refuse to start. Randomly switches devices, shows incorrect song info on my car and truck stereos, will not sync / recognize Alexa device, thinks there is no network connection when there is. Hesitates and stumbles at random when there is a good network connection.

On my Alexa: Stops playing at random. Switches devices at random. Plays the same song twice. Shuffle function plays same assortment over and over. App currently will not respond or communicate with my phone as a remote.

On my PC: The app is totally unusable. Buttons in the wrong place, freezing, glitching, unable to play songs, can't communicate with network, will not recognize other devices. Uninstalled and gave up.

I have never seen such a poor assortment of software. And it's not just my opinion. On Reddit, Spotify Community, tech blogs, google, etc., everywhere I look there are scores of people complaining about how bad these apps are, and there is no evidence I can find that Spotify is making any effort to fix it. I have so many problems it almost wouldn't be worth calling their tech support line even if they had one. I had to wait 15 minutes just for the community help page to load so I could even make this post (and yes I have a great internet connection). Not only is their software trash, they've left it inordinately difficult and cumbersome to even ask for help. Spotify, stop doing new things until you fix what you claim to be a usable product.

I'm about to jump back over to iTunes. Their solution for everything, for years—has been to do it on your desktop/laptop. Um, it's 2020 get with it guys! UX is the abysmal.

2 years later and its still TERRIBLE!

Spotify has been the most buggy program I've ever used. I've exeprienced more bugs with spotify than every other program I've ever used, combined.

I cannot possibly understand how insanely broken Spotify has been. The mobile app is the only platform version I can still use due to the bugs, and even it is full of bugs.

Between bugs in the mobile app, ads inserted by Spotify into podcasts (and mods initially trying to lie about it), moderators on here giving people the "Have you tried..." run around, and even just recently had a thread for an ongoing issue get marked as fixed, and then immediately get updated with a link to a new thread because the issue was absolutely NOT fixed.  I'm a pubes width away from canceling my sub and moving to AMU, at least their customer service actually gets $h1t done.
