Spotify in Japan

Good morning,

I have a premium Spotify account on my computer/iPad, but I'm having trouble downloading it on my android phone. The play store only comes up with *this app is unavailable in your country*. I have tried using a vpn, though it's my first time so I may have done it wrong.

If anyone has any ideas or proven ways to fix this, please help me out. Frustrating to pay for an account and only use it at home.
