Spotify is extremely laggy on Huawei P8 Lite

I've been having this problem for a few months and it gets worse and worse with every actualisation. Spotify lags everytime I try to run it or when I change songs - I hit pause and the song doesn't stop, as if the whole system freezes. It takes around one minute to run again properly OR the "application does not respond" appears. When I open the app, usually it takes THREE OR FOUR MINUTES to open it and play music! Why does it take so long? Because every time, no matter if I'm using wifi, data or I'm offline, the app freezes and so does my whole phone. It didn't happen like year ago and I guess it gets worse with every new version of the app. I use Spotify Premium and really, this isn't something I will pay for. Is there any chance that the app will finally run on Android without any problems? Because I really consider deleting Spotify, cancelling Premium and switching to usual music player on my phone.

Just to confirm, can you let us know the Android version you're rocking? 

In the meantime, we'd recommend reinstalling the app. Here's how. 

If you've already tried a reinstall or it doesn't help, please restart your device with these steps: 

1. Delete de app on your device.
2. Remove the SD card, if there's one.
3. Restart the device.
4. Install the app again.
