My Question or Issue

Before a bunch of updates were made, the application was linked to my external SD where I would store my downloaded songs. Now, it doesn't even give me the option to transfer them the SD let alone change the destination of the songs. I am now resorted to using what is left of my storage. Help on this problem is much appreciated.

Hi there @will-106-2002,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

Can you check the SD card for errors and make sure that the card is formatted as external storage instead of internal?

Another useful step to try would be to uninstall the app > turn off your phone > take out your SD card > turn on the phone again (without the SD card) > reinstall the app and then put back the SD card to see if the issue persist.

Let us know how it goes.

Take care!

Hello Jeremy

I did what you wanted me to do, the app did give me the option. But, as soon as I tried to transfer, it crashed. I cleaned it and made sure there were no files that I could see, formatted it, and tried again. It crashed again. I'm guessing my SD card is infected and am working on a fix to get the virus off.

Thank you so much for the info and I'll reach back as soon as I get it off and try again

Hey @will-106-2002,

Thanks for keeping us updated on your situation.

You might want to run your SD card through a scanning app on your computer. They are usually pretty good in checking for errors on the card.

We'll be looking forward to your post once you've done some more troubleshooting.

Hello again

So after some patience, the error was fixed, the app now had access to my SD, but the strange part is is that the error fixed itself. I tried to transfer songs, and it worked. I'm not sure how it did this, but that doesn't stop the fact that I'll get it scanned as soon as I have the tools to pull it off.

Jeremy, I appreciate you giving some tips on fixing this problem and thank you for your help in this matter

May you help others fix problems such as mine

Hey @will-106-2002,

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

We're happy to hear that the issue seems to be resolved now. If it does come up again, it's a good idea to go over the steps that @Jeremy and @Alex posted. If that doesn't do the trick, you can always leave a new post - the Community is always here for you.

Happy listening!
