Spotify keeps pausing after a few seconds

Spotify keep pausing after playing for 30 seconds to a minute.  Not being used on any other device.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled on Huawei P9 device.  Any suggestions?

Can you let us know the Spotify version you're using? Also, is this happening when your playing in Offline Mode? 

In the meantime, we'd recommend playing your tracks on a friend's account.

Thanks for getting back to me.  I'm using Version 8.4.1.846.

It also pauses when I'm playing music off-line.

I have only started experiencing this problem since getting my Huawei phone.

This issue can be caused by power saving settings.
For MIUI powered phones: settings -> battery & performance -> power -> app battery saver -> Spotify -> no restrictions.
