Hi,
New premium account holder. I have a Transformer Prime tablet. Even with a full wifi network signal Spotify starts in online mode then rapidly keeps moving between offline and online mode...eventually remaining in offline mode. This has happended at several different wifi networks. I have re-downloaded twice with the same result. You tube shows some firewall solutions...but not for the Transformer Prime.
Love the app but not so much if this persists...any possible solutions? Thanks...
Solved! Go to Solution.
One of the main reasons for buying the Asus was to use Spoity. When we used the app from Play the playlists and Offline did not work. Uninstalled this app and went to m.spotify and got the app this way. All seems to work fine now.
Looking forward to see if you get any answers, because I experience exactly the same problem on my transformer prime.
Haven't heard yet...hope too soon...anyone out there with some suggestions other than the standard download app again/cahe your playlists/try a different networ...frustrating part is...it worked for an hour last night and then not today...or at another network that had full signal...
Same over here, my TF Prime has the same error, only way to get a offline Playlist:
I remove spotifiy, install it again, download a playlist and can listen to it.
But, if they don't fix it within the next Month, i'll delete it completly.
Greetings
Patrick
Thanks...I read the "in offline mode" string...just trying to get someone to provide a different perspective..I also agree with the "give it a month" approach...ready to turn a bunch of other computer nephytes on to this...but reluctant given lack of respnse/solution...best of luck...
I have the same problem...
Spotify start onLine, and 3 secons later.... offLine. and like this all the time..
I'm Paying 10 € each months for that?
Please.... stop working over the stupid integration with FACEBOOK and solve really importants BUGS.
Thanks
Interesting...in less than a day or so we have 5 frustrated Prime owners...almost all new members of Spottify. I read somewhere that less than 2% of customers of a product/app use forums (first time for me)...nothing wrong with it...actually appreciating the back and forth...but just not adopted by the massess.
That said...since the Prime is essentailly out of stock everywhere (go to nowinstock.net to see that every major retailer has it on back order). Asus sales are through the roof (at least in the US) and everytime someone buys a Prime, hears about Spotify from a referral (as I did on a plane) and has this issues...not very prudent economies of scale.
My orignal post was a few days back and still no response from Spotify...even to say "wait...we'll work it out...be patient"..I understand resource allocation to answering posts....but if I'm not mistaken this is a Spotify sponsored forum?
Still the concept is the only thing really challenging I-tunes...I'll wati a little while...but am not recommending it to anyone until I can take full advantage of the app.
Same thing here with xoom on 4.0.3 ICS.
This is annoying to pay 10€ to only get a Desktop application working let's say... properly.
I have the same problem with my Galaxy tab 10.1. I contacted customer support and they asked me to change the password on my account and try again... Needless to say, that didn't work at all.
The only way to overcome this is to do as the former poster here said, uinstall the whole thing and install it again, sync all your songs and then it will work untill you press the "Manage offline playlist" then it will go start flashing "offline" "Online" and eventually end up in "You are offline" If you want to add one more song after this, uinstall the whole thing and start over.
I really think that when you sell such a big product like spotify with a monthly fee this kind of error should be found by the beta testers and removed immediately, and when this didn't happend, when you see how many thats experiencing this error, they should stay up all night trying to fix this so that the paying customers got what they payed for, a working app!

Different approaches, same problem.
Reporting for duty.
TF Prime that does the online -> offline -> online -> offline.......
Have managed to sync a few playlists.
I thought about something yesterday, have you try running Spotify on the other display mode for tablet screens?
Because I myself use ICS on my (old) nexus one. And spotify runs like an Average Joe on a vicodin high, but it runs. And when online, it stays online.
I have the exact same problem with my iPhone 3Gs! I have tried deleting the app entirely from my phone several times, and it still wouldn't work! It doesn't even work with my mobile internet...
Extremely annoying!
Hello.
Sadly, the Transformer and later versions of the Galaxy Tab (the 10.1 and ones running on Honeycomb) are not supported by Spotify at the moment - You can see a list of supported devices right here.
It's a very popular request, however, and there are some threads over on Ideas board relating to this. Our Android team are looking into supporting tablets specifically in the future. I'll try and keep everyone updated.
