Spotify keeps redownloading my songs

Spotify keeps redownloading my songs

My Question or Issue

Everyday Spotify redownloads my already downloaded songs. I can't listen to my downloaded songs offline for more than a day because the songs become automatically unavailable after being offline for more than one day.

Hey @Harshallo,

Thanks for bringing this up! Sorry for the belated reply.

This sounds like it could be a cache-related issue.  To make sure we cross that out, you must remove all of your devices for offline listening and do a clean reinstall. After that, all music should be downloaded again.

Let us know if that worked out for you!

Hello,
I had uninstalled spotify from my PC, my Samsung Gear S3 and from my
Samsung phone (Samsung Galaxy J7 max). Then I reinstalled spotify only on
my phone and then downloaded my songs but the problem still persists. I
have also tried unsubscribing from spotify premium and subscribing from
another account but the problem still exists.
The problem of redownloading the songs happens only on my phone though, not
on my PC nor the Gear. Can you please give me another solutions soon as
possible?
Thank you

Hey there @Harshallo,

Sorry to hear the clean reinstall didn't do the trick for you!

Please check out this article - section Downloads Unexpectedly Removed to make sure we've crossed off all possibilities why this might be happening. Do you use an SD card?

What you can also do is check:

  • Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.
  • Mobile settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All (not optimized for apps)> Spotify> disable.

This is to make sure nothing is preventing Spotify from playing.

Let us know what happens after you try these suggestions 🙂

sounds very  bot like

Hello,
I've given Spotify all the permissions and also disabled the option to
optimise the battery consumption, but the problem still persists. I also
have an SD card. But it's capacity is only 2GB so I download the songs in
the phone memory. I also checked if the SD card is broken or something but
it isn't.
