Spotify keeps stopping after switching to Premium

After I started premium 2 days ago, I noticed that my Spotify tends to stop playing after about 2 songs. I need to log into my phone and press play to get the playlist going again. Conversely when I was using the free version, there was no such issue and songs played continuously. 

This is very annoying as I did not subscribe to Premium for interrupted service. Can anybody help?

I'm on MI NOTE LTE with Andriod version 6.01 MMB29M.

Hello! Most likely you've already done it but still, have you reinstalled it? Did Spotify in that period of two days had an update? It surely isn't the account problem but something in the app itself. Do you play downloaded songs or stream from different playlists? Maybe it is your internet. If you have a slow internet (either WiFi, 2G, 3G, 4G, etc) and you are playing music from playlist that you have not downloaded then maybe that's your issue!

I was looking at the forum and it seems there is an ongoing problem. Is this your exact situation? Seems it was initially discovered by SAMSUNG users but now it has spread to other devices. As the post says, if possible, provide every detail so they can work on it. It's ongoing since Feb but maybe a new update in the past few days could've placed you on the same situation as other users.
