My Question or Issue

I've been trouble with this problem for a while. My Spotify app on my phone gets laggy while I try to skip the music and even shuffle it like a screen is freeze for a second and sometimes it's taking longer. I tries a couple playlists with a less songs and many songs but it was the same. I would like to know if there's anyways to fix this problem? Thank you.

Hey @sunsh9ne,

Thanks for getting in touch with us and welcome to the Community 🙂

We'd suggest you give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall. That way you can make sure the app is up-to-date and the cache is not causing any issues.

In case you're using any battery optimization or power saving apps, you can deactivate them for Spotify.

Hello! I'm having the same problems with my Galaxy s24 Ultra. Screen freezing/very low frame rate while changing songs in spotify. I've followed the steps you gave but the problem is still there.

Hi there @Melker3,

Thanks for your reply in this thread.

Have you noticed if this happens both with WiFi and your mobile data? If so, you can try logging in with a different account and check if that makes a difference. It can be a relative or friend's account. Or you can create an account for testing purposes and deleted it after.

On another note, if you use Local Files from your account, try disabling them from the Spotify app's settings and check again.

Lastly, would you mind sending us a video recording of this behavior? You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.

We'll be on the lookout!
