Spotify mobile (android) won't play songs I purchased through iTunes

Spotify mobile (android) won't play songs I purchased through iTunes

I bought an album through iTunes. It shows up in Local Files on Spotify's desktop platform. I can listen to the songs in Local Files. Then I dragged the album into a playlist on my computer. I can still listen to the songs on my desktop through that playlist.

When I open the mobile app on my Samsung Galaxy SIII, the tracks show up, but are greyed out and won't play. When I click on it, it says "This track is not available." Any ideas?

I saw those steps, but my desktop has an ethernet connection, not wifi.

Hello!

You need to sync local files to the android app to listen to them in the Spotify app, if they are not available to stream. You can create an adhoc network (more advanced), if you don't have the option to sync with wifi.

Hope this helped 🙂

It doesn't matter if your desktop uses ethernet or wifi. The essential thing is for both your desktop and your mobile to be on the same network. As josh said, this can be an ad-hoc wireless network if your desktop device has wifi or the devices wil connect if you have a wireless router even though the desktop is using ethernet.
