Spotify no longer available through Amazon Appstore for Malaysia

I own a Blackberry 10 device (Blackberry Passport) and the only way to get Spotify for it is from the Amazon AppStore. I have had the app for a while now and am even a premium subscriber.

Today, I was notified that there was an update for Spotify, but when I tried to update, it failed.

I checked with Amazon again and found that the app is no longer available to Malaysians on the AppStore. The precise error was "You are not eligible to purchase this app due to geographical restrictions"

Can Spotify please fill me in on the rationale for the decision to no longer offer the app to Malaysians on Amazon? I have two Blackberry 10 devices that can run Android apps (of which one I use for Spotify) but have no access to Google's Play Store, and one Leapfrog Epic which also has no access to Google Play Store that I'm also using Spotify on. The only way to get Spotify for these devices is through Amazon AppStore, and I find it odd that suddenly those living outside the US are no longer allowed to get Spotify through said store.
