My Question or Issue

Hello i want to know if it's possible that the little circle with lines on it ( The little Spotify notification on the top left ) can stay in the notifications screen permanently as it disappears from time to time on my phone when i pause the music. I'm asking this because the Spotify widget on the homescreen requires this to work properly (it stops from working when the little circle disappears). Thanks !!

I got this reply from the support and i asked if " there is no way to have a widget that works permanently even if i pause the music " ? Anyway thanks 😉

The Spotify icon appears in the notification bar since the app is running. When you pause, it won't display. The widget also may not function properly if you don't have the app open and running. Please keep in mind that the widget is simply a shortcut button for the app.

To try to fix this issue, can you give me a little more information on what you want to fix? It's sounding like the Spotify notification to control music is disappearing when you pause music. You might be able to change that in your Android settings, Let me know what I can help you with.

The Spotify notification to control music is disappearing when I pause music. And the Spotify widget don't work when the notification isn't on the notification screen. Is it possible to keep the Spotify notification permanently on the notification screen ? Also if you are an Android spotify user can you give me feedback about how you use you Spotify widget.

Hi @MNC1 again,

I am an android user, although, my notification stays there until I "swipe out" the Spotify application, I would suggest you clean reinstall the Spotify application and let's go from there.

Did a clean reinstallation but i still have the same issue, the notification disappears :(. Thanks !!

What Spotify version you have ?

Hey again, I just noticed this post never has a solution,
I would suggest you go to your settings and make it so the notifacation stays at the top. The notifacation will dissapear if you swipe the app out.
