Spotify on Froyo gone?

Spotify on Froyo gone?

Hello,

Am running spotify (permium) on an old phone: Android 2.2.3 (froyo) -- and the search function just today started returning no results.  I'm running spotify 0.6.5.183 (I tried upgradig to  0.6.6.270 and downgrading to 0.6.4.47 with no success) -- is this it for froyo support?  Do I need to get a new phone just to keep using spotify?

Please let me know.

Hi. These are the official requirements to run Spotify on Android:

Spotify System Requirements

The following are the system requirements for using Spotify and accessing Spotify content through an installed app:

-- Android phone/tablet: Any device that runs Android OS version 4.0.3 or above, with at least 500 MB free space and the Android Spotify Music app (downloaded from the Apps store of Google Play or, for Kindle devices, downloaded from the Amazon Appstore).

Note: Spotify content may only be accessed with Spotify apps, the Web Player website, or apps otherwise authorized by Spotify.

I'd recommend you to upgrade.
