Spotify on phone uses a lot of battery if only used as remote

Hi,

I use my Android phone to control Spotify on the PC, and it still uses a lot of battery.

This is inconvenient.

Is there any way to fix this?

You can also try disabling notifications from within the app settings as well as broadcast device status etc if you're not using it for things like scrobbling or musicxlyrics.

This is a new phone. This is not the problem. The problem is why does it use battery when it is not even playing?
