Spotify only downloads 3-5 songs at a time

My Question or Issue

I have downloaded music so I an listen to it when I'm not within WiFi reach. Recently I've added a few more playlists but I noticed that Spotify is not downloading any of those songs for offline use. When I start the app it says that it's 'Downloading song 5530 out of 6960' (the numbers constantly change) but once it's downloaded 2-3 songs the download stops. If I want more songs to download then I need to restart the app and then it'll download some more (every time it downloads a few more or less). No matter what I do I can't really make progress on my download.

I haven't tried anything as I'd like to help to resolve the issue which clearly exists somewhere.

Could you give these steps a go and run a clean reinstall? Sometimes the cache can lead to different issues.

If that doesn't help, it's also a good idea to try changing the storage settings with these steps.
