Spotify permanently crashing since last update

Spotify permanently crashing since last update

Since the last major update has been released (new design & visuals) Spotify doesn't work anymore. Everytime I start the application it simply closes the app, without giving me any notice or error code.

I have narrowed it down to the error being the tablet being horizontal. If I hold my tablet upright (like you'd hold a cell phone) the app works just fine, but as soon as I tilt over the device either the app instantly closes/crashes, or the whole tablet just freezes.

Tablet: Samsung Galaxy 10.1N (GT-P7501)

Is this a common error and will this be fixed in the near future? I really don't want to cancel my subscription, but since my tablet is in the docking station all the time and therefore needs to be horizontal I literally can't use the application at all right now.

Best regards.
