Spotify randomly switches from my desktop to my phone when the app is running on my Galaxy S7

Hi There,

I have been using spotify for a few years now and never ran into any problems with any of your softwares. A couple days ago I noticed if I have the spotify app running on my phone and I open up spotify on one of my other devices, such as my windows desktop or my mac, it will work fine for a little while then out of nowhere it will start playing on my phone. My phone will be locked, sitting on my desk or in my pocket then the music will cutout on my desktop and Ill hear it start playing on my phone. Has anyone else ran into this issue?

Can you let us know the Spotify version you're using? Also, did this happen after a recent update?

We'd recommend reinstalling the app. Here's how. 

If that doesn't work, please try playing tracks on a friend's account using your devices. Let us know if that makes any difference.
