Spotify shows no connection even though I have full WiFi signal

I'm using spotify premium from my Huawei device and even though it plays all the downloaded playlists fine, it keeps showing me offline saying there's no Internet connection. Whichever the IP is the problem remains. Updates haven't fixed it either.

I uninstalled the app (also deleting all downloads) and installed it once again. This fixed the error for me.

I've tried it. It didn't work. It wouldn't even let me log in. I had to enable data to log in. The app only works when data is on. It doesn't recognize wifi connection.

Why does Spotify keep ignoring so many complaints about the constant GLITCHES, N MANY OF THEM??!!!   WE PAY N GET NO RESPECT!!  WHY CHANGE THE FORMER FORMAT THST WE AS CUSTOMERS HAD LOVED IN THE BEGINNING??!!!   SERIOUSLY, THEY SEEM TO RAKE IN OUR DOUGH/ DOLLARS, N IGNORE US!!   WE GO AWSY TO OTHER DEVELOPED APPS N SAVE OUR ONGOING IRRITATING FRUSTRATIONS, N GIVE OUR MONEY TO THOSE WHO *"RESPECTFULLY* CARE N LISTEN TO THEIR PAYING VUSTCUSTO!!!!!!!!!!!! Mindless Glitches, irritating, Redundant, Repeating same mistakes, n mthly now, WE REPORT PROBLEMS, BUT SEEMS NOTHING CHANGES!!   KEEP ON having BUGS but NO FIXES yet!!  Wow, leaves such a bad taste in my mouth, totally A DISAPPOINTMENT n I AM VERY DISILLUSIONED, SO WHY keep PAYING for this IRRITATING App now??!!!

If it weren't the best app for streaming and saving music to listen offline, I would've canceled the upgrade and completely stop using the app for sure. It just sucks that I have to keep using my data and I keep running out of them.
