Spotify starting every time my phone connects to bluetooth

I'm using spotify on my android samsung galaxy s7 and everytime my van connects to the Bluetooth it opens up spotify and plays the music . It even plays the music when I'm on a voice call. Please tell me there is a way to stop this as it's driving me mad and I've looked through basic settings and there doesn't seem to be a simple fix for this

I have the same phone and same problem, i do not know what to do. I wonder if I uninstall spotify to solve the problem

I think it's some android thing because its happening with the Samsung music app when I unistall Spotify. I think it happened after an update at some point. It's really annoying and samsung were no help.

I have the same issue.

I think my car "orders" music and the mobile has to deliver.

Btw a Toyota, I think the problem is the car not the phone.

My solution, I deactivated the media connection for the phone in the BT settings.

So the car is only a "freeset".

Does this mean you can only make and receive calls now on the car then or has this solved the problem for you?

For me it is the solution, because I don´t listen music via phone in the car.

I had the same problem with a windows phone, but there was no possibility to deactivate the media connection, so it always played something.

There the solution was to buy an Android phone.

And this windows phone is the reason, why I think that the car is "guilty".
