Spotify starts playing music randomly after shutdown and even after pausing

Hi!

This is a problem that has occurred before that might've disappeared with some updates.

But now it's back again and it's so annoying and embarrassing 😞

So, I listen to music on my way to work in my headphones - I get to work, unplug the headphones from the phone, I pause the music (when it finally decides to let me pause, it takes ages for it to react) and kill the app via the task manager.

But still, after a few minutes the app starts up again on its own and starts blaring music! I try to pause it again but it pauses it only for a second and then starts up playing the song.....and this is so unbelievably embarrassing at a silent office!

What to do please? I'm now scared to take the headphones out ever in a public place 😕

Just having a look I can see this was escalated to the Spotify team a few weeks ago, but there haven't been any updates since then.
