I just noticed that spotify has been downloading my songs while I'm on 4G even though I have the option turned off. Doesn't help that I have it set to extreme quality too. So now I my data charges are skyrocketing. It used to only download when my playlists when I connected to wifi. Please help!
Hi, can you just confirm your device, android version and spotify version, thanks. How do you know it has downloaded tracks over 4G exactly? Did this happen when you were listening to a playlist you're following to which music has been added, maybe?
I have an LG G3 4.4.2. Spotify version 1.3.0.423. I like to listen to radio or online playlists and when I save the tracks they usually don't start downloading until I get home where I connect to wifi. I have it so any music I save gets downloaded onto my phone, but it should only be happening over wifi.
And you're definately set to only download on WiFi? is it definitely Offline tracks that are being downloaded, or is it that it is the cache being uilt from your streaming activity?
I have the 'Download over 2G/3G' turned off. I noticed that the music I save shows up in my 'songs' section with a green download arrow next to it meaning that it has been downloaded rather than a gray arrow meaning it will download or is downloading.
That is odd then, have you tried a clean reinstallation?
It's a pain I know, but the best thing for troubleshooting
