Spotify stops playing after 2-3 songs

Spotify stops playing after 2-3 songs

Hey

Ive just got my premium account in spotify and since then when im playing a playlist and dont touch the phone, the playlist stops and plays again only if i do any action with the phone.

I tried re-installing, played with the fade settings, but nothing solved the problem.

Does anyone have any idea?

(Xiaomi Redmi Note 4)

Thanks in advance

If Spotify is crashing or stopping midway through a track, try the following:

-- Restart your phone (remove the battery for 30 seconds if possible).
-- Connect to a different network and see if the problems persist.
-- Perform a clean reinstallation.

Thanks for the answer.

it Doesnt crash at the middle of a track, the Spotify just finishes the track and then doesnt proceed to the next one in the playlist.

* It happens only when i use it as a player and dont touch the phone at all. it stops playing after 6-8 mins.

Thanks

Try turning off power saving and exclude spotify from the android power management. Check this post for more detailed information.

I have the exact same problem - it is really anoying.

It occurs both on my iPhone and my IPad. Spotify stops playing after 2 songs and then disconnects from the AirPlay speaker.

The problem started some weeks ago.

I tried all of the suggestions here re-installing Spotify however in on my phone it even does it when I want it from my computer… I am ready to abandon Spotify and find a system that does not cut out exactly every two songs

I found out that spotify was not the problem. I solved my issue, by setting up a new wifi with an apple router instead of the one that my ISP provides with the Internet subscription.

Does anyone from Spotify read these posts? This has been a problem for MONTHS and there's STILL no solution?  I'm paying you for music.  Not for a couple tracks every now and then.  Fix it or refund my Family Plan.  All of my devices are doing this on every network.  Galaxy S8, Nexus 5X, Essential PH-1.  Public, private, work, it doesn't matter.  The app is broken!

For the community: Does anyone have a phone number for Spotify?  They need to start addressing some of the issues before someone files for class action status.

It’s most probably the combination of your ISP and the Router!
I tried different set ups of the router and different ISP’s and found that if Your ISP and router doesn’t stream with sufficient capacity, Spotify (or the router) disconnects as it thinks there’s is no put though.
I solved the problem by requesting a fixed IP

Update: I just downgraded to version 7.9.0.746 on my Nexus 5X.  I know, old phone.  But I needed a headphone jack.  Anyway, I was able to listen uninteruppted for my 30 minute walk to work.

Findings: IT'S NOT THE DEVICE OR THE NETWORK!  THE APP IS BROKEN!  They've introduced something into the newer versions that is causing the issue.

Non-recommended Fix: Uninstall completely, disable auto-update in Play, install an older version.  This will fix Spotify, but you have no auto-updates on any apps.  Not a great solution, but it gets my music working again.

Next, I'll try the same solution on my Essential PH-1.

were you in offline mode. I am suddenly haing the same problem while in offline. When i go back to online, and restart the song, it starts playing. But after going back to offline mode, 2 to 3 more songs before it does it again.

Everything I did was online. First streaming, then playing downloaded tracks.  The only thing that's worked so far is downgrading.
