My Question or Issue

as soon as I lock my screen Spotify stops playing music. It doesn't happen immediately though. First it starts stuttering for like 5 seconds and then it stops. When I leave the screen locket you can sometimes hear snipplets of music (about a second long) every minute or so.

The progression bar of the song just goes on as if the song hasn't stopped playing even though it did.

So for example when the progression bar is at two minutes and I lock my screen at the beginning of the song I can still hear snipplets of the first few seconds but spotify acts like the songs progresses normally.

I already reinstalled spotify.

This problem appeares randomly every few days for a whole day and then everything is fine again.

Thanks in advance for your advice / help.

Hey @lucas031,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

We can recommend that you check the phone's battery settings and make sure that Spotify is set as an exception if you're using the battery optimization option.

It's also a good idea to check that Spotify has the permissions to run in the background.

If the app still doesn't work as expected, could you try running a clean reinstall on your device? You mentioned that you've reinstalled the app but this one is more thorough than a regular one. It'll get you the latest app version with all necessary updates and fixes and will remove any corrupted files from previous installations.

Let us know how it goes.
