Spotify stops streaming when phone is locked or spotify closes

My Question or Issue

 When I lock my phone, or close out of spotify, spotify will always stop streaming. I've used wired and bluetooth headphones, cleared the cache, and reinstalling spotify. The only thing that really works is restarting my phone, but after a day it comes back again. It's been going on for the past couple of days, and its frustrating. It gives no error. It stops streaming, and starts at the beginning of the song but paused. It sometimes also takes away the notification of what song is playing / the controls such as pause/start.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. Try checking your phone's settings to see if there's a power management setting that you can disable. That should help.

Also, when you reinstalled, did you follow the exact steps listed here?
