Spotify stops when using Polar A370 heart rate monitor

Devices: Samsung S7, bluetooh headphones, Polar A370 wrist heart monitor

Problem: Spotify occasionally stops playing while I'm using bluetooth head phones during a workout. It's annoying, but closing the app and turning headphones off and on usually fixes the problem.

This morning, however, I started using a Polar A370 heart rate monitor to track my workout. I had previously used a Fitbit Charge 2. Spotify played, maybe, 60 seconds on a song then stopped. I went through my usual reset procedures, closing/turning off app and headphones. Restarted Spotify and music stopped a second time within 45 seconds.

Has anyone had a similar problem with a Polar device? Is it just coincidence that I used the Polar today and had this problem that wouldn't go away? Is the problem with the Polar A370 communicating with the phone and interrupting Spotify?
