Spotify tries to play on my other device!?

My Question or Issue

When I use Spotify on my tablet, Spotify tries to start playing on my phone via a notification. The notification can't be deleted. I first have to start Spotify on my phone for it to be deleted.

The same happens when I use Spotify on my phone, it tries to start playing on my tablet.

My tablet is connected to my wifi and my phone is connected to 5G.

Both the tablet and phone are using Android 11 and are up to date.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

Can you try the following:

1. Log out Everywhere

2. Uninstall the app again with the steps that's provided in the clean reinstall article. ​​Do this on both devices.

This issue might be related to corrupted cache on your devices.
