Spotify won't normalize volume

Title. No matter if the song is local or online, the volume normalizer either sucks or does not work. For reference, try listening to Classic by MKTO and Believer by Imagine Dragons. I can barely listen to Classic while Believer almost blew my eardrums out. Is there a fix for this or is this just how it is?

I'm currently on a Galaxy S8 if that helps.

Same problem, except I can't even turn the button on.  I have a Google Pixel 2

Could you please try doing a clean reinstall with the help of this guide? Then you can use this article for reference on how to adjust the volume.

@Petya - It is not an adjustment of volume. This is about the "Normalize Volume" control feature not working. I have been subscribing for years and to my knowledge, this feature has never worked.
