Spotify uses internal storage instead of card - Android 9 card formatted as Internal Storage

Spotify uses internal storage instead of card - Android 9 card formatted as Internal Storage

When I do a clean install of Spotify, the downloaded songs go to the Internal Shared Storage, not the external card, therefore filling up the internal memory very quickly.

I don't see any option in Spotify Settings "other" section that would allow to force the storage on the card as some recommend-

I read many of the threads here about this problem. One of the proposed solution around is to format the card as "portable" but I don't see this as an acceptable fix, as the interest of "internal" is to let Android manage all the space available as a single space. Formatting as external forces you to manually move the applications or data afterward.

Settings:

Android 9

32GB Internal Storage, External 128 GB card formatted as Internal Storage

Internal Storage full at 20.56 GB, Card full at 25 GB.

rights granted to write on storage to the App (from his setting, just after the install).

I didn't see any android setting for default installation as people recommend for android 7 in one thread.
